April Matthis is a performer who has worked extensively in New York’s downtown theater/performance community. She has premiered work at Playwrights Horizons, The Signature, The Public, Lincoln Center, Soho Rep, New York Theatre Workshop, and Elevator Repair Service, where she is a company member. She has also performed at the MoMA, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and premiered and toured Ralph Lemon’s Scaffold Room at Walker Art Center, The Fischer Center at Bard, and The Kitchen. TV/Film credits include Black Card, Wendell and the Lemon, and CBS’s Instinct. Ms. Matthis is the recipient of an OBIE Award for Sustained Excellence of Performance and Mabou Mines’ Ruth Maleczech Award.
